It’s time to get your game on!
This year’s version of the CrossFit Rochester Games will be a bit different than last year’s and perhaps any other CF-type games out there. The event is still a fundraiser for a local athlete that’s qualified for the CrossFit Games in Los Angeles (this year it’s Bill Pontius) – however, rather than cater strictly to CrossFitters, we’re offering separate, segregated events that will allow for greater participation from all the “specialists” out there.
Are you an endurance athlete? We’ve got an event for you.
Are you a power/oly lifter or strongman? We’ve got an event for you.
Are you a CrossFitter? We’ve got an event for you.
Think you’ve got ALL the bases covered? Participate in all three individual events and be eligible for Grand Champion honors as well as cash prizes!
In addition to the individual competitions we’re also offering a team competition again this year as well as a number of side-show challenges.
All that said – don’t call, write or otherwise inquire what the workouts are… I won’t tell you… NOBODY knows and I’m not telling ANYONE until moments before the event. While the tests are collectively designed to determine who is the most all-round fittest person in the area, rest assured that anyone with functional joints and some level of physical fitness can do any/all of these events.
ANYONE is eligible to play… crossfitters, triathletes, lax bros, highland gamers – anyone… even patrons of Planet Fitness! However, due to space, time and equipment constraints, there are a limited number of spots available for each event. If you want to play, download the entry forms and email or drop-off completed forms ASAP. All entries are due by Noon Saturday, July 2nd
Entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis until all spots are filled.
If you would like to be a part of the event, but don’t necessarily want to play, we will certainly need a number of volunteers. We’ll need judges, set-up personnel and a few folks to run the side challenges. Email me at crossfitrochester@gmail.com if you can help out.
