WODder of the Week: Keith Sourwine

Congratulations to Keith, our WODder of the Week! Keith has made major improvements since joining CrossFit Rochester a year and a half ago. He joined because he was sick of weightlifting at the regular gym and was hoping for something more fun.

Keith said that the way in which CrossFit “constantly tests your will to finish something” had him hooked immediately. He didn’t set any  goals when he started per se, but he has lost 40-50lbs and become much stronger. A few weeks ago he PR’d Fight Gone Bad, which incidentally is his favorite workout. (“Cause you just gotta GO.”) His next project is handstand push-ups: he’d love to be able to do them, but is currently working through a fear of being upside-down.

Keith has been a 6PMer since the beginning, and enjoys the camaraderie of that class. He started on the strength program this week (remember, if you want to join the strength program just talk to Joe!) and is looking forward to getting even better at lifting.

Keith competed at his first CrossFit competition last weekend at the Hammerhead series, on the 5th-place team with Hilary, Chupa, and Kaitlyn.  He’s hoping they can make it to Dewitt and try to improve upon their performance.

Keith’s steady improvement has been awesome to see. Keep up the great work!
