Natalie is one of our 7pm college class crew, so you may not recognize her. But take notice: this girl is one of the hardest working people ever to walk through the gym doors. Back in May, she saw the flyers that Mandrew and I put up at St. John Fisher College and thought CrossFit would be a good way to get in shape and meet new people. On her first day, she could barely get in to a squat. Three months later, her mobility has improved astronomically, and she continues to PR on her lifts. She likes the college class because she can work out with people her own age, and “everyone is really supportive.” Before CrossFit, she mostly walked to stay in shape, but says “CrossFit is a lot more interesting than walking.” “Besides,” she says, “I would never have thought I could lift something like 85lbs.”(I have a feeling that the weights in Natalie’s future are going to be a lot heavier than 85lbs. We’re just getting started!)
Natalie also showed up to class a few weeks back with this awesome sign she made. We love it! Thanks for working so hard every day, Natalie. Your persistence is definitely paying off!
