Congratulations to Caitlan Tirabassi (affectionately known as sea bass) for earning the title of WODder of the week!
Seabass has been really stepping up to the plate lately. In addition to making a concerted effort to RX WODs in the gym whenever possible, she got her first bar muscle up two weeks ago (video is posted on our facebook page). She is already stringing three bar muscle-ups together. Last weekend, she competed in her first-ever CrossFit competition in Auburn, and she liked it so well that she signed up for another one this weekend! I (Fem) was fortunate enough to not only hang out with Caitlan and her husband George all day at CrossFit 716’s Western NY Classic on Saturday, but also get to compete in the same heat as them. Caitlan was admittedly extremely nervous all day, especially for the stone-to-shoulder ladder. The stone was heavier than she’d ever lifted, and she struggled multiple times to roll it onto her shoulder in practice. But with a little technique work and a deep breath, Caitlan brought her A-game under pressure. She not only beasted the stone onto her shoulder once, but six times.
We love Caitlan’s initiative and courage to compete in an Rx competition. Way to go Seabass!!
